Did you know that solar is more affordable than ever? Reduce your utility costs, protect yourself from future electrical rate increases, and help the environment by investing in solar power for your home.

Solar panels are designed to endure even the most severe weather conditions. From 90+ mile per hour wind to medium sized tree limbs to golf ball sized (or larger) hail, solar panels have been specifically tested and designed to withstand any impacts.

Solar panels are environmentally friendly, of course, but they can also help you save some money on your electric bill. Installing solar panels can be a costly investment, but it will actually pay for itself in savings over the years.

Why Solar?

With an average of 300 days of sunshine per year, Utah is uniquely situated to harness the energy of the sun. The solar photo-voltaic panels on your home convert sunlight into electricity. The inverter then changes the current from DC into AC so it can be used by your home and the utility company.

What can you expect?

A typical solar panel produces around 300 watts of power. There’s a little bit of variation on this, based on the size and efficiency of the solar panel you choose; you’ll see panels that produce 305, 310, even 330 watts. More efficient panels are a little more expensive, and are usually only needed if you have limited space on your roof. Your solar installer will work with you to figure out how much power you’re using, and then will size the whole installation correctly to meet your needs.

How it works

Solar is a renewable energy resource that uses photovoltaic (PV) systems to create electricity. A solar PV system uses light to generate electricity, which you can then use to power your home or office, reducing your bills and your impact on the environment.
